Before elastic was used in socks and stockings, strips of leather, cloth, or woven yarn were buckled or tied around the legs to prevent them from slipping down. 
Our garters are handmade from leather and feature steel buckles with a bright nickel finish. They measure 19.5 inches in length and have nine holes for size adjustment. We offer them in two colors: brown and black.
