Soap has been around for thousands of years, dating back to around 2800 BC. In the 18th century, soap was available in two forms: hard soap and soft soap. Hard soap was easier to transport, while soft soap was cheaper and simpler to make at home. Not all soap was made at home; soap boilers produced it in bulk, both in hard and soft forms, which were sold in stores by the pound. Additionally, soap makers often also worked as candle makers, as some of the ingredients and processes were similar. Various ingredients, such as lard and olive oil, were used to make soap.
Our soap is handmade and hand-cut right here in North Carolina. We use natural ingredients and offer a variety of scents, including Lavender, Fir Needle, Wildflower, Unscented Castile, Rose, Peppermint, Lemongrass, and Coffee House. Be sure to keep an eye out for our seasonal scents as well. Each bar weighs approximately 4.5 oz.
Handmade Bar Soap
**Lavender Soap:** This soap combines lavender essential oil and ground lavender flowers, resulting in a natural, floral, and herbal fragrance. The scent of lavender is a rich, earthy aroma. **Ingredients:** Saponified Oils (Olive Oil, Organic Palm Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter), Lavender Essential Oil, Lavender Buds.**Fir Needle Soap**: Experience the refreshing aroma of a fir tree that will connect you with nature. This delightful soap is perfect for those who appreciate a rich, green fragrance. It contains 20% shea butter, ensuring a creamy and luxurious bar.
**Ingredients**: Saponified Oils (Organic Palm Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil), Fir Needle Essential Oil, Parsley Powder.**Wildflower Soap:** This soap offers an intensely floral fragrance that is soft and powdery, reminiscent of a gentle breeze flowing through a meadow of wildflowers.
**Ingredients:** Saponified Oils (Olive Oil, Organic Palm Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter), Fragrance, Oatmeal, Iron Oxide.**Unscented Castile Soap:** A very clean-smelling, simple soap.
**Ingredients:** Saponified Olive Oil, Goat Milk.**Lemongrass Soap:** This soap features lemongrass essential oil and real lemongrass, providing a refreshing lemony scent.
